Back from the Toronto comicon! There was much waiting in line, and much ogling of chicks in cosplay outfits. All and all it was a fun trip. Patrick Stewart and George Takei are lame for charging money to see them at all. Michael Dorn and Lavar Burton rock for actually sitting in the convention floor area. Didn't get anything signed by them because the line was too long, but I got to at least see them! Chewbacca was there too, plus some chicks from the Buffy universe , Nog, and Sisko's kid from DS9.
Short summary of the trip, with a focus on the stuff we bought :):
Friday
Got to toronto at 6:30, checked into the hotel, headed to the con. Waited in line for an hour to buy tickets (must preorder next year) then hit the main floor. Met David Mack again, and picked up the rest of Kabuki. He was nice enough to throw in 2 prints and 4 sketch books for free! Plus he signed everything. Michael Turners line was too long, so we just wandered around Artist Alley, to check out the starving artists. Picked up a nice poster from one of the artists.
Satuday
Got up early and went to see Eight Clouds Rising, it was a bit slow, but was picking up at the end when they kicked us all out for running overtime (even though they started 15 minutes late!) Hit Michael Turner, and got him to sign Witchblade #1, which I picked up many moons ago.
While waiting, Fuzu went and bought a figure called a "Yet" from a random artists. We then headed down to get Rags Morales to sign the Identity Crisis #1 before running out to grab a bite to eat.
Got back, and went back to wander around Artists Alley to see if anyone new showed up. Fuzu ended up buying a moogle hat from one of Will's brother's friend, and we talked to Jack for a bit. We wandered around and checked out Dreamwave, and some of the vendor booths. We then went to get stuff signed by Brian Azzarello.
Turns out Joe Quesada was there, and we missed out chance to get Wolverine: Origins signed by him. We then tried to get into the Anime music video winner showings, but the line was waaaaaaaaay too long, we decided to blow off the Masquerade to eat dinner, and rest up before hitting the all night anime marathon. We of course ate, and ended up falling asleep and missed all the fun.
Just got back from driving all of Sunday (traffic sucked) next year, we leave Thurs. night, and come back on monday so we can hit more actual activities, and spend less time standing in line for signatures.
Check out Mistressfizz for a more info, and pics of the cosplaying (it's great having a small asian girl to take pictures, so you don't feel too creepy)
Here's a summary of the loot:
And a key for all the swag:
Anyone who wants to come next year with us is more then welcome to join us.
Be pissed at Patrick Stewart will you!? Well, you my friend are headed straight to hell...see what he was going through at the time:

He was still planning on charging $110 - $165 to attend the thing with him in it. That still pretty lame.

Damn you people with disposable income! And oh how I hope to join your ranks one day... ;-)
And just for good measure:
Damn you, Salazar; damn you!!!

Did the price differ according to how close you got to his greatness?

Yes, in fact it did! For "priortity seating" it was the $165, the loser in back only had to pay $110. In fact for only $100, he would sign something for you. But you didn't get to meet him or anything, you'd just drop of your thing and a check, and get it later.
